This course will satisfy all requirements by the state of Maine to acquire a learners permit. I am applying to Dirigo Driving Academy for basic drivers education. I understand this course requires 30 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours behind the wheel instruction. Students will be evaluated by quizzes, handouts and class participation. These are taken from the State of Maine motorist handbook and the How to Drive textbook.
Students are required to have a 15th edition How to Drive textbook. You will receive an email after booking with instructions on how to obtain the book.
Students must pass the course and final exam with at least an 80%.
Should the student fail the final exam 3 times he or she will need to repeat the classroom portion of the course.
Should a student miss a class they are required to make up the missed class before they will be able to take the permit test.
